Act on a suggestion from the values
What is These look like the QC samples you inserted? The Lab files tab spots samples whose values look like a CRM, a blank or a duplicate, and you confirm which are yours.
At the end the QC samples you forgot to list are checked as yours.
The app looks at every sample’s values. One near detection for every element looks like a blank. One whose elements all sit within a CRM’s limits looks like that CRM. One within a few percent of the sample before it, where neighbours differ far more, looks like a duplicate. Values only suggest. A failed CRM does not look like its CRM, and that is what QC must catch.
Before you begin
- A certificate in Batch checks with its report open, and the card These look like the QC samples you inserted under the report.
Steps
- Read each line on the card. It names the sample, what it looks like, and why: for example “A1020: CRM GA-CRM-2 (Its values match GA-CRM-2 (3 of 3 certified elements within limits))”.
- Untick any sample that is not one of your QC samples. A sample that happens to be low in everything is not a blank.
- Select Check the ticked ones as my QC. The certificate is checked again with them, and they appear under What was checked in the report.

- These look like the QC samples you inserted: each sample, what it looks like, and why.
- Check the ticked ones as my QC: confirms them for this certificate.
Result
The ticked samples are judged as your CRMs, blanks and duplicates, and the card lists only what is left.
If something goes wrong
- The card does not appear. Every QC sample is already on your QC sheet, or nothing looks like one. A CRM is suggested only when its values are in your library.
- A ticked sample was wrong. Select Clear them under the Certificates card and load the certificate again. For a certificate kept in a project, delete it from the holding area and save it again.
Next steps
- Load your QC sheet, so the app need not guess next time.
