Upload several certificates together

How do I check a batch of lab certificates at once? Upload several SIF files, or a zip of them, and read each report from one list.

At the end every certificate in the batch has its own verdict, and one workbook holds them all.

Each file is read on its own, so one that cannot be read does not stop the others. A code or prefix the app has not met is asked about once, and the answer applies to every certificate.

Before you begin

  • The certificate files, or a zip of them. Anything in the zip that is not a certificate is listed as not read and left out.
  • On the live site, sign in.

Steps

  1. Select the Lab files tab.
  2. Under Certificates, select Choose files…. In the file window, pick several files with Ctrl held down, or pick one zip. The card counts the files read.
  3. Answer Before these can be accepted if it appears, then select Use these.
  4. In Batch checks, select a certificate’s row. Its report opens under the list. Select another row to read the next.
  5. To take them all away, select All as Excel at the top right of Batch checks. The workbook has one row per certificate on its Certificates sheet and every finding on All findings.

Result

Batch checks lists every certificate with its verdict, and All as Excel downloads them in one file.

If something goes wrong

  • A file is listed as Not read. The others are checked as usual. Select the row to see why that one was not. The file is not read as a certificate lists the causes.
  • The same certificate was uploaded twice. The app keeps one copy. A file with the same name replaces the earlier one.
  • A second batch should start clean. Select Clear them under the Certificates card first. Otherwise the new files are added to the list.
