How storage plans work
Checking and charting your data is free and needs no plan. Keeping your data in your account between visits needs a storage plan. This page says what a plan covers, how the trial works, how you pay, and what happens when a plan ends. The prices are on the Pricing page.
What is free and what needs a plan
Free, with or without an account:
- Uploading a file and checking it: the Overview, every chart and the reports.
- Checking lab certificates on the Lab files tab with Check only, and printing the report.
- Your Overview rules and settings, kept with your account.
Needs a plan:
- Projects, kept in your account and added to with each upload.
- Lab certificates kept in a project, whether they are waiting in its holding area, accepted or returned to the lab.
- Your CRM library, the certified values of your standards.
- Client set-ups. Each client under Your set-up, Clients is one client set-up, with its own projects, CRM library, stages and rules.
What each plan holds
| Plan | Client set-ups | Certificates | Also |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geologist | 1 | 1,500 | |
| Site | 3 | 7,500 | |
| Consultancy | 10 | 30,000 | API Starter: 1,000 chart calls a month |
| Organisation | As agreed | As agreed | Agreed with us and invoiced |
Projects are unlimited on every plan. Each plan is one sign-in for now; more users are coming. Each plan also has a fair-use limit on stored data, set out in the Terms: 5 GB for Geologist, 20 GB for Site and 50 GB for Consultancy. The New_Pandora demo project takes about 56 MB.
Add-ons give more on any paid plan: one more client set-up, or 5,000 more certificates, each a monthly charge. Change them on your Account page in the Toolkit. Paddle charges or credits the difference for the rest of the period.
The free trial
When we approve your account, a 30-day free trial starts with the Consultancy plan’s limits. No card is needed. The trial doesn’t include API chart calls. Your Account page shows the days left and what you use against each limit. We email you 7 days and 1 day before the trial ends.
Choosing and paying for a plan
Choose a plan on your Account page in the Toolkit, monthly or yearly. A yearly plan is two months free. Paddle’s checkout opens on the page.
Paddle, our reseller, sells the plan for us. It takes the payment by card or PayPal, adds VAT or sales tax for your country, and emails your receipt. A business can enter its VAT number at checkout. The plan shows on your Account page within a minute, and renews by itself each month or year until you cancel it.
Billing: card, invoices or cancel on your Account page opens Paddle’s page for your plan. There you can change your card, see past payments and invoices, and cancel. To move to another plan, email [email protected] and we change it for the rest of the period.
When you reach a limit
A save that would go over your plan is refused, and nothing you already have is touched. The message says which limit you reached and what lifts it, for example: “Your Geologist plan holds 1,500 certificates, and you have 1,500. Add 5,000 more for $10 a month on your account page, or move to a larger plan.” Deleting a project, a certificate or a client set-up frees its place.
When a trial or a plan ends
A plan you cancel runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Your Account page shows the end date.
When a trial or a plan ends, your stored data becomes read-only at once. You can open it and export it, but not add to it. Checking and charting new files stays free.
- For 90 days you can export your stored data. We email you 60, 30 and 7 days before we delete it.
- Choosing a plan in that time lifts read-only at once, and everything is as you left it.
- After 90 days we delete your stored data. Your account stays until you close it, with your rules and settings.
